House of GlamRock Kids
When my daughter was born with a cleft palate, we became regular visitors at BC Children’s Hospital. We quickly learned that hospital days can be filled with emotion — uncertainty, resilience, and the incredible strength children somehow find within themselves.
We made a decision early on to flip the script on our situation. Every visit would become an opportunity to bring joy instead of fear.
Bringing gifts for the children became something that was also a gift for us. Because when you brighten a child’s day, you lift an entire family. Anyone who’s cared for a child with medical needs knows that it affects everyone in the home.
A simple act of kindness can change the energy of a whole room — and remind every parent, nurse, and sibling that they’re not alone.
